BOWED BEAM RECORD LAUNCH
Details have been finalised for the Glasgow Bowed Beam record launch at Pollock Ex Service Club on June 1st.
The Bravest Boat 5 piece will be joined by Fritz Welch (Asparagus Piss Raindrop, Eight Thumbs) and Georgie McGeown (Sound of Yell, Issho Taiko Drummers) both of whom contribute to the album.
Also on the bill are Una McGlone (double bass) and George Burt (guitar) of Glasgow Improvisers Orchestra playing a special duo set. Sarah Kenchington will be making a rare performance on her inspiring home made instruments too. Film maker, artist and Bravest Boat collaborator Anne-Marie Copestake, of Muscles of Joy, will be playing records.

The band will be playing with Ollie Brice quartet in Leeds, Bennett/Roberts Duo and William Rees in London and a super special line up TBA in Glasgow. They will also be playing community/family workshops in Bradford and Edinburgh in the afternoon led by Aby Vulliamy.
Bravest Boat will be releasing an album Bowed Beam on Luke Fowler’s Shadazz recordings on May 31st. It will include 5 self produced, semi improvised pieces recorded at Glasgow’s Kinning Park Complex and Bradford’s 1 in 12 club.
